About the Company
AP-Tech operates in the aviation technology industry, delivering advanced automation systems and airport infrastructure for civilian and military sectors. Our mission is to enhance the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of air traffic operations worldwide. With a dedicated team of 50+ specialists, we have successfully implemented projects in multiple countries, meeting the highest international standards and earning recognition as a trusted partner for airports and air navigation service providers.
About the Role
Join our Quality team supporting mission-critical aviation systems used at airports and by air traffic management organizations. In this role, you will design, implement, and improve quality processes across multiple projects to ensure reliability, safety, and operational continuity.
AP-Tech delivers software and system solutions developed in regulated, safety-critical environments. Depending on the project and customer requirements, we operate using Scrum and V-Model–based SDLC, combining iterative development with strong verification, validation, and release control.
Our projects are executed in compliance with recognized international standards, including:
- DO-178C / ED-12 (software considerations in airborne systems),
- ISO 9001 (quality management systems),
- ISO/IEC 27001 (information security management).
Quality processes, documentation, traceability, and audits are an integral part of our delivery model, not an afterthought. The QA Process Engineer plays a key role in shaping, maintaining, and improving how these standards are applied in practice across projects and teams.
This position focuses on building and maintaining QA processes, not on executing day-to-day testing. Your work directly shapes how teams deliver high-quality software for the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain organization-wide QA processes and quality standards.
- Define and improve workflows, checklists, quality gates, and acceptance criteria across teams.
- Develop and manage test strategies (FAT/SAT), quality plans, and documentation templates.
- Ensure alignment and consistency in test coverage, requirements quality, and release procedures.
- Monitor quality KPIs, analyse defect trends, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams to optimize delivery processes and prevent quality issues.
- Support teams in adopting best practices within SDLC for safety-critical and high-reliability systems.
- Facilitate quality reviews, audits, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance QA-related tools and configurations (e.g., JIRA workflows, test management systems).
Requirements
- Polish C1
- Higher education degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA with a focus on processes, standards, or QA leadership.
- Experience designing or improving QA processes in complex software environments.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, particularly in safety-critical or high-reliability systems.
- Experience with quality metrics, defect analysis, and establishing quality KPIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and collaboration with engineering teams to integrate quality steps.
- Ability to create clear documentation, standards, and quality guidelines.
- Good command of English, sufficient for communication and reading technical documentation.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the aviation industry or testing real-time/mission-critical systems.
- ISTQB Advanced or similar process/quality-oriented certification.
- Understanding of automated testing frameworks (Robot Framework, Selenium).
- Experience with security standards or ISO 27001.
- Experience with BPMN/UML for workflow modeling.
- Experience with audits, compliance processes, or regulated QA environments.
What We Offer
- Medicover medical care
- Warta group insurance
- Access to Multisport cards
- Internal mentoring/coaching
- Co-funding for postgraduate studies / certifications
- Team integration budget (e.g. quarterly)
Work Culture
At AP-Tech, we combine the precision of engineering with the teamwork needed for complex international projects. Our technicians, engineers, and project managers work side by side, sharing knowledge and supporting each other in the field and at headquarters. Safety, reliability, and accountability guide everything we do—from wiring a control cabinet to commissioning an entire airport system. We value open communication, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving, and we make sure every team member sees how their work directly impacts safer and more efficient air traffic operations worldwide. While we set high standards, we balance them with respect for personal time, professional growth, and team integration.
